Trinity Products offers a wide range of Pressure Vessel Quality (PVQ) steel plates. Pressure Vessel Quality steel is a low alloy steel engineered specifically for high tensile strength and increased toughness. Applications included storage tanks, heat exchangers, boilers, gas cylinders, and other containment vessels storing liquids and gasses under high temperature and pressure conditions. PVQ grades are offered in both As Rolled and Normalized conditions. Normalizing is a heat treatment that results in increased notch toughness and ductility. Additional benefits of normalization include improved machinability, grain-structure refinement, homogenization, and the reduction of residual stress.
All Trinity Products PVQ products are certified to American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) specifications.
